We will fully support the implementation of government policies: Army Chief

Pakistan has become the world’s fourth largest motorcycle maker. Tractor exports have increased by 10%, with 90% of the parts being manufactured locally.

A delegation of leading industrialists and businessmen of the country has called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad. Army Chief General Qamar Javed was also present in the meeting.

At the meeting, the government and the industrialists agreed to increase the minimum monthly wage and called for continuity of long-term policies for the development of industries.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the government has a sense of inflation in the world market and the consequent burden on the people. Steps are being taken to protect the common man from the effects of inflation.

“Industrialists and businessmen should work with the government to provide relief to the common man. Thanks to business-friendly policies, the country’s ten largest companies made a profit of Rs 929 billion last year.

“Exports of the textile sector have reached a record high of 21 21 billion and are expected to reach 26 26 billion next year,” he said.

The Prime Minister said that there are vast opportunities in the field of defense production which can be exploited through public-private partnerships.

On the occasion, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that he would fully support the implementation of government policies for the development of the country.

The Prime Minister said that during his visit to China, he would discuss the launch of joint ventures and joint ventures between Pakistani and Chinese industrialists.
