US announces 150 million more military aid to Ukraine

US President Joe Biden has announced a new 15  million security aid package for Ukraine.

According to media reports, President Joe Biden, announcing the aid package on Friday, said it would “provide Ukraine with weapons and equipment other than radars.”

President Biden also called on Congress to approve an additional 33 33 billion aid package for Ukraine.

According to US Secretary of State Anthony Blankenship, the United States has provided 3.8 billion worth of weapons to Kiev since the February 24 invasion of Ukraine, including anti-aircraft Stinger missiles, drones and heavy weapons.

President Joe Biden said in a statement that “the United States has provided historic assistance to Ukraine at a very rapid pace.”

“We have provided arms and equipment directly to the frontline fighters for Ukraine’s independence, which has been approved by Congress.”

However, he acknowledged that their numbers were not enough to defeat Ukraine’s government.

On Sunday, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will attend a virtual summit attended by President Biden and other G7 leaders. The meeting will consider aid provided by Western countries against Russia.
