The Asia Cup has seen intense rivalries between teams like India and Pakistan, which has added to the tournament’s excitement and popularity.
includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The third team in Pakistan’s group will qualify from pre-Asia Cup matches.
The Asia Cup to be held in Pakistan in 2023 will be played in the middle of the year and its format will be ODI. In the same year, the ICC Cricket World Cup is also scheduled in India.
Sri Lanka did not make any changes in the team for the final, while Usman Qadir and Hasan Ali were replaced by Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah in the Pakistan team.
Fakhar Zaman also could not show any special performance and was run out after scoring five runs.
For Sri Lanka, Dilshan Madhushanka took three wickets, Chimeera Karunaratne and Dasan Shanaka two wickets each.
For Sri Lanka, Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva and Chamika Karunaratne took 2 wickets each.
Both Afghanistan and India have qualified for the Super Four stage.
Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan started the innings cautiously. In the third over, Babar Azam scored just 10 runs and was caught on a short pitch by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
