Strict security arrangements were made on the occasion of the arrival of the West Indies team in Multan.
Upon arrival in Multan, the visiting team was given a warm welcome and flowers were presented to the players.

It may be recalled that the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and West Indies in Multan will start on June 8, the second ODI between the two teams will be played on June 10, while the third and final ODI will be played on Sunday, June 12.
On the other hand, the national cricket team practiced in preparation for the series, during which the players practiced bowling, batting and fielding.
It is to be noted that the said series was part of West Indies tour of Pakistan in December 2021, however, it was postponed by mutual consent of Pakistan and West Indies after five cases of Code-19 came to light.
The West Indies have also agreed to a three-match T20 series in early 2023, with a schedule to be announced later.
The ODI series between Pakistan and the West Indies is part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League. These matches in the ICC League have World Cup qualifiers status.
The top seven teams will qualify directly for the 2023 World Cup, while the Indian team has already made it to the hosts.
The mega event of 50 overs matches will be played in October / November next year.
