Surprise delivery! mother gives birth in hotel bathroom

Last week, a mother on a business trip in Georgia gave birth to her son suddenly while sitting on the toilet in her hotel restroom, according to authorities.

According to Irvine Police, the surprise birth happened as Victoya Venise, of Louisiana, believed she was afflicted with the same stomach illness that was afflicting her 4-year-old daughter.

The expectant woman went to the restroom at a hotel in the Atlanta region because she was having stomach aches and quickly discovered she wasn’t ill, but rather in labour.

“When I turned around, there was the baby, and I was like, ‘Wow,’” she says. “I rushed up and snatched him out of the toilet,” she told WXIA-TV, an NBC station.

“I grabbed a towel and covered him in it.” I was on the toilet when I dialled my mother’s number. ‘Mom, I just had the kid,’ I said. ‘He fell in the toilet,’ I thought. Venise allegedly added, “She was saying, ‘Call 911, call 911.’”

Despite the perilous birth, the woman and her baby, Rocky, were treated and released from the hospital in excellent health later that day, according to the report.

Venise, who is a single mother, had intended to place the son for adoption. On April Fool’s Day, though, she apparently had a change of heart about him.

“It made me feel connected to him and made me want to retain him,” she says. As a result, I’m going to retain him.

“It just so happened that it taught me that you can accomplish it.” You can look after him even if I’m a single mother. It gave me greater confidence and convinced me that I could accomplish it. If I can achieve that, I’m sure I can do anything.”
