During the hearing of the petition filed by Dua Zahra’s father in Sindh High Court, the 14-year-old Dua Zahra, who was recovered from Bahawalnagar, was produced before the Sindh High Court. That Dua Zahra should be presented in the court by June 10.
The court directed the investigating officer of the case to undergo a medical test to determine the age of Dua and ordered to send Dua Zahra to a shelter home.
Dua Zehra and her husband Zaheer Ahmed were both produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate Sharqi.
Assistant Advocate General Sindh had said that Dua Zahra has been recovered, they want to record the statement by presenting it, the court had allowed Dua Zahra to present in the court today.
On this occasion, the parents of Dua Zahra also reached the Sindh High Court. The lawyer said that they could not say anything about whether Dua had met the parents or not. The statement of Dua Zahra will be recorded today.
However, the police and staff prevented the mother from meeting Dua, saying that the meeting could not be held unless ordered by the court.
During the hearing, during the court interrogation, Dua Zahra said that I am 18 years old, I was not abducted, I was not taken by Zaheer Ahmed, I left voluntarily.
