“Powerful” missile strikes Lviv, Ukraine says

Five “powerful” Russian missiles hit Lviv on Monday, the city’s mayor said.
A Lviv resident told AFP they saw thick grey smoke clouds above residential buildings. The city’s mayor, Andriy Sadovy, announced the incident on social media.
Russia has intensified its strikes in and around Kyiv, further east, targeting several military manufacturing facilities over several days.
“Five powerful missile strikes at once on the civilian infrastructure of the old European city of Lviv,” tweeted Ukrainian presidential aide Mykhaylo Podolyak.
