According to Multan Sultans sources, Tim David Corona, who represented the team in PSL, has fallen victim.
Sources said that in the routine PCR testing, the result of Tim David’s Corona test was positive.
Corona test of 2 commentators Danny Morrison and Urooj Mumtaz also came positive yesterday.
It may be recalled that two days ago, Peshawar Zalmi players Sohail Khan, Ben Cutting, Usman Qadir and batting consultant Hashim Amla were also afflicted with corona after which they were isolated.
3 days ago, the security consultant of Multan Sultans also tested positive for Corona.
It should be noted that the first qualifier match of PSL will be played today between defending champions Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars at 7.30 pm and the winning team will reach the final directly.
The teams of Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi will compete in Eliminator One tomorrow.
The other team to reach the final will be decided by Eliminator 2 on February 25. The losing team in the qualifier match and the losing team in Eliminator One will face each other and the winning team will reach the final.
In the seventh edition of PSL, Multan Sultans have won 9 out of 10 matches so far and are at the top of the points table with 18 points. It is also an interesting aspect that Lahore Qalandars are the only team to defeat Multan Sultans in the only match of the league.
Lahore Qalandars are second with 12 points after winning 6 out of 10 matches.
Peshawar Zalmi is third with 12 points after winning 6 out of 10 matches.
Islamabad United are fourth with 8 points after winning 4 out of 10 matches while Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings are out of the league.
