Miso-butter chicken and gnocchi is a flavorful and comforting dish that combines tender chicken, soft potato gnocchi, and a rich miso-butter sauce. Here’s a recipe to make this delightful meal:

For the Miso-Butter Sauce:

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

3 tablespoons white or red miso paste

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, minced

1/2 cup chicken broth

Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Chicken and Gnocchi:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 pound potato gnocchi

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

For the Miso-Butter Sauce:

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Stir in the miso paste, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Cook, stirring, until the mixture is well combined and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.

Pour in the chicken broth and continue to cook, stirring, until the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Reduce the heat to low, allowing the sauce to simmer while you prepare the chicken and gnocchi.

For the Chicken and Gnocchi:

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and have a golden-brown crust. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).

While the chicken is cooking, prepare the gnocchi according to the package instructions. Usually, you just need to boil them for a few minutes until they float to the surface.

Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips or chunks.

In the same skillet, add the cooked gnocchi and pour the miso-butter sauce over them. Toss to coat the gnocchi evenly in the sauce.

Serve the miso-butter chicken and gnocchi together, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired.

This miso-butter chicken and gnocchi dish is a harmonious blend of sweet, savory, and salty flavors. It’s both easy to make and incredibly delicious, making it a perfect choice for a satisfying dinner. Enjoy!
