Islamabad court sentences Usman Mirza for life imprisonment
ISLAMABAD: An Islamabad local court on Friday awarded life imprisonment to Usman Mirza, the primary accused seen thrashing and tormenting a young couple in a room full of other males in a leaked video viral on social media platforms.
Usman Mirza was given life imprisonment along with his five aides – Muhib Bangash, Adraas Qayyum Butt, Hafiz Ataur Rehman and Farhan Shaheen. While two suspects – Umar Bilal and Rehan – were acquitted because of lack of evidence.
The verdict was announced by Additional Session Judge Atta Rabbani.
