The two have been in a relationship for the past few years and their wedding celebrations began on February 17 in Mumbai, the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra.

The report states that the couple did not perform their first marriage according to Islam nor did they perform the marriage rites according to Hindu religion. He confessed to accepting the other as his spouse.
At the time of marriage, Shabani Dandekar wore a red wedding dress while Farhan Akhtar wore a black three piece suit.
The bride and groom can be seen cheering in the viral wedding photos and videos and they were seen smiling and hugging friends and relatives.
There are reports that the couple will now register their marriage under the religion of Islam on February 21, after which the two will probably get married under Hindu rites as well.
Farhan Akhtar is a Muslim while Shabani Dandekar is a follower of Hindu religion and many Indian showbiz personalities have got married despite belonging to different religions.
Before Shabani Dandekar, Farhan Akhtar was married to hair stylist Adhuna Bhabani in 2000 and they have two daughters. They were divorced in 2016 after 16 years of marriage.
This is Shabani Dundekar’s first while Farhan Akhtar’s second marriage and the relationship between the two was established in 2018.
