The year 2021 was very memorable for Rizwan and he became the first player in T20 cricket to score more than 2,000 runs in one year.
He scored 2,065 runs in 45 innings at an average of 56.55.
Rizwan also became the first cricketer in the world to score more than a thousand runs in a year in T20 International cricket, scoring 1,326 runs at an average of 73.66.
Mohammad Rizwan made a memorable start to 2021 by scoring a century against South Africa after a half-century against New Zealand last year.
He also continued his excellent performance in Pakistan Super League (PSL) and played a pivotal role in making his team the league champions in 2021.
He then went on to play his best tours of Zimbabwe and Joby Africa, where he scored half-centuries.
In the T20 World Cup too, Rizwan along with captain Babar took charge of the Pakistan batting line-up and led his team to a memorable victory by 10 wickets thanks to a brilliant half-century in the match against India.
Not only that, but Rizwan played his best innings and scored a half-century in the semi-final match against Australia despite his ill health.
