The 14th season of Cok Studio started with the song ‘Tu Jhoom’ sung by renowned Sufi singer Abida Parveen and singer Naseebo Lal who gained fame from Punjabi songs and this song captivated the listeners as soon as they saw it.
Abida Parveen says that Zulfi has composed a very unique song while Naseebo Lal said that she has returned to Coke Studio for the second time in a different way.
The music for ‘To Jhoom’ has been composed by Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan alias Zulfi who replaced Rohail Hayat as a producer at Coke Studios last year.
“I always want to bring the element of surprise, the life of the expected things is short,” says Zulfi.
Associate producer Abdullah Siddiqui says the song is a perfect blend of traditional sounds.
There is also a viral video regarding this song in which it can be seen that Naseebo Lal was rehearsing when Abida Parveen came to the studio.
When Abida Parveen reached the studio, she forbade Naseebo Lal to stand up. However, Naseebo Lal stood up saying, “I don’t like it”, then she hugged Abida Parveen, shook his hand and touched his knees.
The duo is getting huge acclaim on social media.
