

National team captain Babar Azam has also been named the captain of the best T20 team of the year.
The ICC T20 Team of the Year consists of Joe Butler, Mohammad Rizwan (Wicketkeeper), Babar Azam, Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, David Miller, Tabriz Shamsi, Jose Hazelwood, Vinod Hasaranga, Mustafizur Rehman and Shaheen Shah Afridi. ۔
The ICC said in a statement that the names of the best T20 teams of the year were intended to honor the performance of those who impressed everyone with their bat, ball and other all-round performances throughout the year.
The World Governing Body praised the performance of the national team captain in 2021, saying that Babar Azam was in his best form last year and was the leading run-scorer in the T20 World Cup.
The ICC praised Rizwan’s performance, saying that he scored 1,326 runs in 29 matches at an average of 73.66 and a strike rate of 134.89 and also played well behind the wickets.
The ICC also praised Shaheen Shah Afridi’s brilliant swing ball with new and old balls.
The bowler, who played a key role in Pakistan’s victory in the T20 World Cup match against India, took 23 wickets at an economy of 7.86 and an average of 26.04 in 21 matches played in 2021.
