

74 years after the partition of India in Kartarpur
The two brothers, who were separated during the partition of Pakistan and India, were reunited by the Kartarpur Corridor 74 years later.
In a video that went viral on social media on Wednesday, two elderly people can be seen hugging each other at Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan.
According to reports, the two Bhans broke up in 1947 during the partition of Pakistan and India.
According to Pakistani channel Geo News, the meeting took place on Tuesday at the premises of Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara. The elder brother Habib came from Pahlewala area of Indian Punjab to meet his younger brother Siddique, while the younger brother is a resident of Faisalabad, Pakistan.
Social media users are not only expressing happiness over this meeting but some users even say that tears came out of their eyes after seeing these emotional scenes.
A user named Manpreet Singh shared the video and wrote, “I confess, I cried.”
In this video, every user named Akash Deep Thand wrote, “My grandfather is about 90 years old and I still ask him if he wants to go to Pakistan, he says, take me to Lahore.”
According to Pakistani media, the two brothers have returned to their homes after the meeting, but they have promised each other that “if life goes on, we will continue to meet.”
It is to be noted that after the opening of Kartarpur corridor by the government of Pakistan in November 2019, Sikh pilgrims come to Kartarpur in connection with the birthday celebrations of their religious leader Babar Guru Nanak.
