The Supreme Leader of the Afghan Taliban, Hibatullah Akhunzada, has banned the recruitment of sons of serving government officials in government institutions and ordered their immediate dismissal.

According to the Afghan television channel Ariana News, on the instructions of the Supreme Leader, the sons of officers appointed to government positions who were recruited on the basis of personal relationships have been dismissed.

In the declaration issued by the Supreme Leader, the officers were directed to refrain from making appointments in ministries, departments and administrations on the basis of family and personal relations.

According to the declaration, officers who have recruited sons in their own ministries or institutions should immediately replace them.

It should be noted that all appointments in government institutions are made under the direction of Supreme Leader Akhunzada or other senior members.

In another statement, Akhunzada also banned the cultivation of hashish plant and directed that from today no one will cultivate it on his land.

On the other hand, the Taliban authorities continue to ban girls’ education. While the Taliban has been severely criticized by the Western and Islamic countries that despite the promise, they expelled women from almost all areas of life and closed the doors for girls to get secondary and higher education.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also called on the Taliban to respect women’s rights and reverse the ban on secondary and college education.
