Soccer World Cup: Germany upset by ‘neighboring country’ Japan

In a match of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Japan defeated Germany by two goals to one and caused another big upset in the tournament.

Germany’s Alke Gundogan scored the first goal in the 33rd minute of the match to give his team the lead over Japan in the Group E match at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha on Wednesday, but in the second half of the game, Japan scored the first goal in the 75th minute. Goal Dagha and eight minutes later, the Asian team scored another goal to take a decisive lead against a big team like Germany.

Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano scored one goal each for Japan. Earlier on Tuesday, the football world saw another upset as Saudi Arabia beat Lionel Messi’s Argentina side 2-1.

Japan’s win over Germany is currently a surprise for sports fans on social media.

On the victory of Japan against Germany, Pakistani anchorperson Mansoor Ali Khan remembered an old statement of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He wrote in one of his tweets that ‘Germany lost to its neighbor Japan in the World Cup.’
