Supporters of Indian right-wing parties are among those calling for a boycott of Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathan.
Some users are also sharing an old video clip of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath advising Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shahrukh Khan to go to Pakistan, saying, ‘I It seems that there is not much difference between the language of Shah Rukh Khan and the language of Hafiz Saeed.
It should be noted that Hafiz Saeed has been sentenced by Pakistani courts in various cases and is currently in jail. India has also accused him of being involved in the Mumbai attacks.
Shah Rukh Khan’s critics are also sharing an old clip of him in which the king of Bollywood praises Pakistani cricketers to pave the way for a boycott of the film Pathan.
In this clip, Shah Rukh Khan is saying that ‘I believe that Pakistani players are the best T20 players in the world and they are champions.’
Many users are accusing Shah Rukh Khan of being ‘anti-nationalist’. A user named Smita Das wrote, “I am requesting all nationalists to boycott Pathan.”
While there are talks of boycotting Pathan, Shah Rukh Khan’s fans are also defending their favorite actor.

This is not the first time that right-wing ideologues in India have called for a boycott of a Bollywood film.
Earlier, even before the release of Aamir Khan’s film Lal Singh Chadha, there was a buzz of boycotting this film on social media.
Apart from Muslim actors in Bollywood, there are many other actors who have been targeted by supporters of Hindu right-wing parties.
Speaking in this regard, Indian actress Swara Bhaskar said in an interview that ‘Bollywood is an industry where Muslims are not only represented but also successful there, which is a cause of concern for right-wing ideologues. ‘
