Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan in the second Test, leveling the series

Sri Lanka set Pakistan a target of 508 runs in the last innings to win the match.

Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 246 runs in the second Test match played in Galle. The two-match series is tied at one, one.

On Thursday, the entire Pakistan team was bowled out for 261 runs in the second innings.

When Pakistan started chasing the target set by Sri Lanka at the Galle Cricket Stadium on Thursday morning, they had scored 89 runs for the loss of one wicket.

The second wicket fell at the start of play on the final day when Imam-ul-Haq was dismissed for 49 runs. After that, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan stayed on the wicket for a long time and supported the batting line.

Before the lunch break, five of Pakistan’s batsmen returned to the pavilion after getting out.

Abdullah Shafiq scored 16, Imamul Haque 49, Muhammad Rizwan 37, Fawad Alam one, Agha Salman four and captain Babar Azam scored 81.

On behalf of Sri Lanka, spinner Parbath Jayasuriya dismissed five while Mendes dismissed four Pakistani batsmen. Fawad Alam was run out.

Sri Lanka scored 378 runs in the first innings and declared for 360 runs in the second innings when eight of their players were dismissed.

Pakistan team was bowled out for 231 runs in their first innings.
