The court will hear arguments on May 25 to determine the sentence.

Yasin Malik told the court that he was not facing any charges against him. (20) (terrorist organization and gang membership) provisions have been added.

Earlier, the court had said that Yasin Malik had set up a wide-ranging structure and mechanism all over the world to finance terrorists for illegal activities in Jammu and Kashmir in the name of ‘struggle for independence’.

The court also indicted other Kashmiri guerrilla leaders, including Farooq Ahmed Dar alias Bata Karate, Shabir Shah, Masarat Alam, Muhammad Yusuf Shah, Aftab Ahmad Shah, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Naeem Khan, Muhammad Akbar Khande. Raja Maharajuddin Kalwal, Bashir Ahmed Bhatt, Zahoor Ahmed Shah Watali, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Abdul Rashid Sheikh and Nawal Kishore Kapoor.

Referring to Pakistan’s concern over the suppression of the voices of local Kashmiri leaders by the Foreign Office, it was said that Delhi has started trapping them in fabricated motives.

The statement said that neither the vicious Indian tactic of making false allegations against the Kashmiri leadership nor the atmosphere of oppression and intimidation could destroy the people of Indian-administered Kashmir.

According to the Foreign Office, Pakistan has asked the Indian government to drop all baseless allegations against Yasin Malik and release him immediately so that he can be reunited with his family and return to normal life.

Pakistan urged the international community, including the United Nations and human rights and humanitarian organizations, to take immediate notice of India’s inhumane treatment of the Kashmiri leader.
