Cherry Ring Cake

In warm water dissolve sugar and pour it on top of the baked cake.

Cherry Ring Cake

Ingredients

Butter:6 ozs

Glazed cherries (cut into pieces): 3 ozs

Sugar powder: 6ozs

Eggs: 4 only

Maida: 8ozs

Baking powder 1tbsp

Vanilla essence: 1tsp

Coconut powder: 3ozs

For Decoration:

Icing Sugar: 4ozs

Warm water: 1tbsp

Method

Mix well butter and sugar, then mix eggs in them one by one. Add in maida, baking powder, sift it and mix with (one ozs) coconut and cherries. Then bake this in a preheated oven (180oC) for 45 minutes. Grease the tube pan and pour in it cake mixture. When baked then cool the cake and take it out in a platter.

In warm water dissolve sugar and pour it on top of the baked cake. Fry left over coconut on Tawa and pour it also on cake. Decorate the cake with cherries.
