Kabul: Taliban government’s first budget approved

The Afghan budget will spend 4.7 billion afghanis on development projects, including transport infrastructure.

According to foreign media, there is no mention of any foreign aid in the budget approved by the Taliban after coming to power in the year 2021.

“This is the first time in two decades that we have developed a budget that is not dependent on foreign aid, and this is a great achievement for us,” said Ahmad Wali Haqmal, a spokesman for the Taliban’s finance ministry.
